![]() Looks like it's not cleaned daily or even cleaned all at during my weekend stay. ![]() Here is general summary of what I saw and experienced: Pros: pool are is pretty complete and well maintained Great location off of 120 Cons: Building materials and lots of unfinished areas when you walk around the property Not enough parking! Lot was full, I think there's an additional lot but it's being used to house construction supplies? You feel like you're staying in a hotel still very much under construction as it's not isolated to one part of the hotel. So yes technically you can use the couches in the lounge but there's a lot of unfinished, unpolished areas everywhere. The lounge is open and can be used, but there's walls that need to be patched and painted and a fireplace hearth that isn't finished with tiles missing in the lounge. While the staff at Rush Creek have written emails out to guests to set expectations that the rec room and gold panning area will not be ready, what they neglected to mention is that there is there are a lot of unfinished areas. Like other reviewers have pointed out, this place will be great in 6 months to a year from now. Overall the location and amenities are good but don't expect much from the catering. The waitresses did their best but couldn't make up for the kitchen. They ran out of French fries and didnt have any for the rest of the holiday. Roast chicken for two was around 50 dollars, the first night it was over cooked And dry, the last night v good, but it took 45mins to arrive and our son's steak sandwich arrived another half an hour later. Limited choices and very inconsistent quality of cooking. Lovely pool area, and free marshmallows/s'mores for the kids to toast in the evening. Got good Advice from desk on hiking routes (allowing for the heat and busyness of the holiday period) We were also able to hire hiking poles. ![]() Shared areas good, a computer area, laundry ( but only 2 machines so v busy) an on site shop where you can buy ice creams, drinks, sandwiches and snacks for your days out, as well as the tourist stuff like tee shirts ,souvenirs etc. Decent balcony to sit on, but we faced out the back of the hotel and some tidying up is required. Rooms were good - a little tight with the sofa bed down, but good amenities, coffee maker wth carry out cups, fridge, safe, lovely bathroom. From what we could see there was a younger kids okay area unfinished but not much else so it didn't affect us. We stayed for 3 nights and wanted to be close to the park ( they are 1.5 miles from the entrance) We booked months ago when we saw the write up in the Sunday times so got an introductory offer ( around 330 dollars for a family room) a week before we arrived they emailed and said they were giving us a 15 per cent discount because they were still completing some work. Hotel has just been opened a month so I guess they are still sorting themselves out. ![]() Give it a chance we did and loved it! More Show less Staff at Rush creek very nice, no rude people, all good! They have made tremendous progress since opening and are very aware of all the early criticism that has been posted. They know all the insider ways to avoid crowds and keep day moving with fun and informative way. We had Abby and she was fantastic, well worth the money even if you have a car. Also rush creek 20 minutes closer to park entrance. Cottages built in 1950 with no air versus 2016. If you want Air conditioning and resort like feel, Rush creek wins hands down. You're better off enjoying a bottle of wine by the pool and skip drinks at dinner as it can run bill up. Menu limited but service and food excellent, if a tad pricey. Yes some of the landscaping needs to grow in but that's fine. Rooms clean and well appointed, although the heating/air conditioning set up suboptimal. Not a bad thing at all no TV, wifi is spotty, but you have to appreciate this is the only property with decent amenities near the park. Here's the deal: The rooms have an IKEA feel.
